Americans not pleased with state of union

President Bush will have his work cut out for him when he gives his State of the Union address Tuesday. In a recent USA Today/CNN/Gallup poll, by more than 2-to-1, those surveyed said things have gotten worse in the United States over the past five years. It may take more than a speech to convince them otherwise.

Bush is a poor public speaker and how many people will really watch the State of the Union. I doubt very many.

Every time Bush is on TV. I ask my wife if she will watch him, she always said no.I respond, “Well you voted for him!”. It has been a sore spot with us since the election in 2004.I could not believe he had been re-elected after Lying us in to invading Iraq and said so.“He invade another country for no reason!”“There was a reason, remember 9-11 they bombed us!”“Honey that was Bin Laden and Afghanistan not Saddam and Iraq!”“Oh”.

WriterD–don’t blame your wife too much. Dick “I LIE FOR A LIVING” Cheney linked Saddam and 9-11 over and over again on every talk news broadcast for years. Occasionally, one of the pressitutes would confront him, and then Cheney would grudgingly admit that Iraq wasn’t directly tied to 9-11, and five minutes later he’d be back on message with “we need to strike the terrorists in the heart of their geographic base.”

A lot of people watch Fox and believe that crap.

It’s hard for most people to believe that the highest office in the land would sell them out and sacrifice American lives for an oil empire, but that’s exactly what happened.

Sure as you’re born, Nathan is going to come along and say, “I don’t remember our beloved and widely respected Vice-President ever saying anything of the kind. Do you have any proof that doesn’t come from a socialist website?”

So here’re the pre-emptive links for the fact-impared:

Cheney said on Meet the Press, “We know that [Saddam] has a long-standing relationship with various terrorist groups, including the al-Qaeda organization.” However, in June, the U.N. formally investigated the claim and found absolutely no evidence. As reported by the NY Times, “The chairman of the monitoring group appointed by the United Nations Security Council to track Al Qaeda told reporters that his team had found no evidence linking Al Qaeda to Saddam Hussein” [6/27/03]. Similarly, the bipartisan September 11th commission report “undercuts Bush administration claims before the war that Hussein had links to Al Qaeda” [LA Times, 7/19/03]. According to national security officials, “In the 14 weeks since the fall of Baghdad, coalition forces have not brought to light any significant evidence demonstrating the bond between Iraq and Al Qaeda…Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Abu Zubaydah, the two highest-ranking Qaeda operatives in custody, have told investigators that Mr. bin Laden shunned cooperation with Saddam Hussein” [NY Times, 7/20/03]

I heard on the news last night that Saddam has a law suite against Bush and Blair for unlawfully attacking Iraq. Isn’t that a hoot?

A guy, maybe he can get the ACLU to represent him. Joking aside, we DID attack Iraq ilegally. I wonder where they’d hear the suit. The Hague is out since we don’t recognize the International Court. If Saddam can get heard in the 9th Circuit, the US is in deep trouble.

Even better writer – the hijackers came from SAUDI ARABIA! So, in response, we attack their ENEMY! Maybe the idea is to so ingratiate ourselves with the Saudis that they won’t attack us again.

But, then Steve seems to be in love with several of us. I’m sure they all are flattered, Steve, but it. . .just wasn’t meant to be!

I hope you understand, and I pray your heart will heal. God bless.

Key prhases: those who want to find a job, ownership society, guest worker program,

Mentioned: culture of lifeNot mentioned: Quality of life.

Personal wish: The Democrats should boycott the address.

My question is: should Bush’s post-impeachment job be writing for Marvel comics or announcing for professional wrestling?

It would be funny, if it wasn’t so pathetic.
