Rice running her own amazing race

Nobody can say Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is trying to do her difficult job without leaving home — which some did say of her predecessor, Colin Powell. Within an otherwise silly story about the lousy food on Air Force Two, The Washington Post’s Robin Wright described one November week during which Rice visited Europe, the Middle East and the Far East: “Three or four hours sleep can be a good night. Rice’s staff and the press corps were in the same clothes for three days. America’s chief diplomat decided to continue negotiating in Jerusalem all night and not leave for another day — after the baggage had been loaded on her plane. When she finally left, she flew two more long flights to Korea and arrived in time for meetings on the third day.” That kind of pace speaks well of Rice’s commitment to improving the United States’ relationship with the rest of the world. And after this, a campaign for the White House would seem like a picnic.

She seems able to work and I bet she would not require a month-long vacation in August. She could only be an improvement over the WH’s current occupant.

Daffy Duck would be an improvement over the WH’s current occupant, but surely we could do better than Condi, who’s just a Bush wannabe!

The argument is not about stamina, it’s about who she is working for. Notice her in the link below sucking-up to AIPAC.

She told Robert Novak that Hisbollah was the greatest threat to world peace not al Qaeda. Novak argued that Hisbollah was only defending southern Lebanon while al Qaeda was worldwide, so how could that be true.

Notice how Israel is planting bombs in Lebanon and then blaming that on Syria? { as if Syria had anything to gain } The destabilization of the Middle East is well under way.http://www.aipac.org/PC2006/

Jed, Will “Daffy” agree to run? If so, we need to start the campaign.

She would make a great President, alright, a great President for Israel.

    She’s already a Zionist.

The choice: America peace with the Arabs.

The “other” choice: Israel’s never-ending war on the world { as other nations see what happening, they will resist }.

    She sounds like an idiot.

What is so urgent that she can’t even change clothes from one day to the next? A frentic pace is generally the sign of poor planning.

And why does she work so hard when Bush doesn’t even interrupt his vacation for Hurricane Katrina?

Because she’s a woman. We have always worked harder than men, (well, most of us).

Bye guys, I’m off to Kansas City to see the lights and contribute to the mass consumerism so popular in the holiday season. I deserve it, I’ve worked very hard this year.

Actually, I agree with that, Damoon. But women never get up on ladders, have you noticed that?

I mean, I agree basically. Day to day, wives work harder.

But when it comes to crawling through a muddy crawl space, killing vermin, or roof repair, it’s always the man’s job, hehe.

Well, duh. Of course women never get on ladders. Review your old jokes.

Ms. Rice seems like a refreshingly hard working government employee. Showing the State department, by example, that it isn’t all about proper parties and endless schmoozing to pretend there aren’t any problem, Mr. dictator for life, sir.

But … same clothes for 3 days… Is she becoming French?

Excuse me Galahad, I get up on ladders all the time (TALL ladders)! I painted my house last summer by myself and helped my husband roof our house. I can wallpaper, mud and tape, spray ceilings, and do any kind of tilework with the best of them. I’m certainly not scared to get my hands dirty and there are a lot of women out there who are just like me.

Yes, I do love my husband, and he loves me for doing all the things he doesn’t have time for. I love being independant and able to fix things on my own. Hell, I can even set a toilet!
