President Bush’s rhetorical offensive against his sagging poll numbers seems to be working. Of all the recent interviews, think tank addresses and news conferences, the best yet was his Sunday night speech from the Oval Office. It was the clearest, frankest statement of the challenge that U.S. forces face in Iraq, the gains made there and his resolve to follow through. Bush is no Ronald Reagan in such a direct forum, but it was invaluable to hear him better level with the American people about the mistakes made in Iraq and his responsibility for them. Those looking for a timetable for getting out will continue to be frustrated, but the nation would be well-served if the president made such candor a habit for the rest of his presidency.

Full speed ahead, never mind we have NO direction! We have No exit plan for the war in Iraq, but we will win somehow>
We must give Iraq freedom, Never mind all the waring factions that will bring total chaos as soon as we begin to exit.
We must get all of the WMDs. Never mind we did NOT find any.
We must get those terrorists that attacked us on 911. Never mind that 15 of the 18 attackers were from Saudia Arabia and 00 (zero) were from Iraq!
We have no plan and we will stick to it! Mean while Americans are spyed on and loose freedoms, jobs are offloaded so big corporations an by good buddies make mor profit while all you lazy slobs take money from unemployment!
God Bless merry x-masDubya (uu)
He’s too much, I wouldn’t get into the car if he was driving.
The nation would be well-served if the president resigned.
Candor from Mr. Goofy is goffy candor.
What is that supposed to be worth?
Hooray! Five years in office and Rhonda is thrilled that the President showed some “candor.”
Maybe right before he leaves office, he’ll actually say something that isn’t later proven false . . .

Here’s what CANDIDATE BUSH said in the 2000 debates–
Moderator Jim LEHRER: “New question.
How would you go about, as president, deciding when it was in the national interest to use U.S. force? Generally.”
BUSH: “[I'd consider whether]. . . the mission was clear, whether or not it was a clear understanding [sic] as to what the mission would be.
“. . . whether or not we were prepared and trained to win, whether or not our forces were of high morale and high standing and well-equipped.
“And finally, whether or not there was an exit strategy.
“I would take the use of force very seriously. I would be guarded in my approach. I don’t think we can be all things to all people in the world. I think we’ve got to be very careful when we commit our troops.”
“If we don’t stop extending our troops all around the world in nation-building missions, then we’re going to have a serious problem coming down the road. And I’m going to prevent that.”
HE’S GOING TO PREVENT THAT?! By getting us bogged down in a quagmire in Iraq, that’s how he prevents “serious problems with our military down the road?!”
How many times can you listen to this man lie to your face before you’re forced to conclude he’s a bald-faced liar?
Ed–Forget about the car . . . I wouldn’t drive on a road that he was known to drive on . . .
My God, the president spoke to the people! Praise his name!
Did I say that? Well that was what ear piece communicator told me to say! Here it is again:

The one I liked best was: We will bring justice to the terrorists or we will bring the terrorists to justice!
I know! There were 15 terrorists on 9/11 from Saudia Arabia and 00 (zero) from Iraq? Well we have not found the rest of them yet but when we do …… we will get them? Anyone seen Osama?
If you see Osamma call:

Just keep lying if it makes you feel big.Truth is none of you have ever proven any lie bush has told. Wrong, occasionally, but never a lie. Unlike most of the visible democrats.
Bush is a good guy!
Wrong again, Codie. Bush said in Poland that they had found “mobile weapons labs” when he knew there was a strong possibility that they weren’t.
They weren’t.
He also said that he would fire anyone involved in leaking Valerie Plame’s name. Then he said he fire anyone “guilty of a crime.” Now it turns out that according to right-wing shill Robert Novak, Bush himself knows and knew all along who outed Plame.
Bush said that Congress got the “same intelligence that I did” which turned out to not be true and Bush knew it was not true.
Hey, don’t take my word for it. Google “Bush lies” and your computer will light up like a pinball machine.
Yehawwww!
That summbitch, Bush. Damnedgum liarr. Us defeatocrats done got done lookin’ aroun’ an’ seen ourselfs all tore up with our own bull crud. Damnation! Stop them Ayrab elections. Theys ruinin’ our crudibility.
Damnation! Whut the heck R we gonna do when Ol’ liarr Bush wins his dadgum war?
HUH?
The Israelis think Bush is a good guy.
It might behoove the Prez to keep his mouth shut. It seems that lately every time he opens it, his foot finds a resting place.
Not to worry, the last terrorist was killed this morning, thus ending the “war on terrorism.”While driving his bulldozer, he was shot and killed by an angry homeowner.
Hey George–I hope we do “win” in Iraq so we can get our guys out of there, one of whom is my son.
But since you brought up the elections, you might want to know what the Iraqis were voting for . . . why did they turn out in such large numbers, anyway?
They were voting for the candidates who promised to get rid of Americans the soonest.
Duh . . .
