He just showed his opposition to fundamentalist Christians who are trying to force their religious anti-evolution view into schools. There was nothing that quote that showed hate towards Christians in general and fundamentalists in particular. It is obvious that by "fundies" he is talking about those who want to have ID taught as a scientific alternative when it is anything but scientific. Not all fundamentalists are for this. Those "fundies" to whom he is referring, on the other hand, can call people who recognize evolution as fact "satanic". Somehow nothing hateful about that. I know lot's of people are eager to dismiss the beating with all sorts of wwishful speculation, but as it is, his police report has not been found to be falsified. So let's remember that, yes, plenty of Christians accept evolution with no qualms and I'm sure they agree with professor Mirecki. Oh, but I guess we should be PC and just criticize fundalmentist Muslims who attempt undermine our country and let certain Christians get a free pass. "What's the matter with Kansas?" indeed.
