Kansas Education Commissioner Bob Corkins is a champion of reforms such as vouchers and charter schools. This week, his 11-member transition team will recommend that the marquee items on the State Board of Education’s 2006 legislative agenda be — drumroll — state-paid vouchers to private schools and the creation of more charter schools. What we wondered a month ago still applies: Why does Corkins even need a transition team?

Why does Corkins even need a transition team?Maybe he had a few friends who just needed a little extra cash to get through the holidays.Merry Christmas taxpayers.
Why does he need a transition team? Simple..he is recognizing his own incompetence, so he surrounds himself with yes men and women to bolster his ridiculous ideas.
He is the epitome of idiocy and absolute proof that the ‘conservatives’ on the BoE must be voted out. This is a total slap in the face to every citizen of this state.
He needs a transition team so he (and everyone else) will have someone to blame other than himself when his plan fails.
Ray–Is that a slap in the big fat face of every citizen?
