A day of infamy remembered

On Dec. 7, 1941, just before 8 a.m., Japanese fighter planes bombed Pearl Harbor in a surprise attack that devastated the U.S. fleet, killing 2,388 American military personnel and shocking a nation to action.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt memorably called it a day that would “live in infamy.” It was that generation’s Sept. 11. The devastating homeland attack prompted America’s entry into World War II.
Today, on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we remember the sacrifice of so many brave young soldiers, sailors and airmen on that morning. We also honor the aftermath: The steely resolve of a great nation to fight and win against tyranny in the world.

    Anatomy of an Insult.

To compare the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, with 9/11 in the same sentence is an insult. Those two events are not in the same league. The Neoconservative cabal currently running the Washington establishment would like all Americans to think so, but Pearl Harbor was not a predictable result of 56 years of America’s financing the rogue State Israel to conduct the slaughter of a helpless people…….the Arab population of Palestine……the Palestinians. Those dubbed conveniently as “terrorists,” by the Israeli butchers….A National disgrace for the United States. As a result of America’s new found depravity News/ Journalism has been converted into an awful mixture of advertising slogans, hype, misinformation, immorality and rabble rousing.Common sense should dictate the misnomer of “terrorism” is a sleazy cover-up, not a creditable newsworthy Item. The revelations of that day stand as stark conclusive evidence.December 7, 1941 was truly a “day which will live in infamy.” 9/11, though a tragic loss of life was a “national disgrace,” and should be treated accordingly.—–
Ed, in terms of galvanizing an enraged public, it was similar. That, of course, is where the similarity ended.

I’ve said earlier on these pages what I think of the phony “war on terrorism.” I’ll repeat it for any newcomers who are interested, and leave it at that.

Thank you to all died or had a family member who died during Pearl Harbor.

Thank you to everyone who lived and gave during WWII. We are a great nation because of what you did. We are free because of what you did.
