It’s good for the University of Kansas football program that this year’s team is bowl eligible. But haven’t bowls become a joke when a 6-5 record and eighth place conference finish qualify a team? Meanwhile, the Wichita State University women’s volleyball team has a 28-3 record and has been ranked in the top 25 since Oct. 17, yet it didn’t receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Yes it is. That said, Go Jayhawks!
Any team with a 28-3 record deserves a bid. Maybe they didn’t because the KBOE doesn’t know what volleyball is?
Yeah, Send em to a bowl!! The world will be a better place. Next topic!
Hairiest Armpit Competition.
Two different sports. And the money gap for those sports is very wide.
There are so many bowl games, that it doesn’t do anything, but extend college football so they can rake in more money.
Not much money or TV for College Volley ball.
Why can’t we celebrate and reward ACADEMIC achievement, since that’s what schools are SUPPOSED to be about anyway. When they introduce the athletes it should be mandatory to list their grades and achievements other than sports statistics.
The fact that the WSU volleyball team was not included in the field of 64 is an absolute travesty!!!!!
KU’s volleyball team owns a 15-14 record this season and is in the tournament.
The many letters and e-mails sent to the NCAA and the volleyball selection committee are justified, as is Bob Lut’s article in today’s Eagle.
GO SHOCKS!
As a UCLA fan (an alma mater of mine) I agree that WSU got the shaft. The Shockers are more deserving of a bid than my Bruins.
Maybe the BTK bowl. You hayseeds seem not be able to put BTK to rest. Hell, I was suprised he wasnt on the new Kansas nickel.Everyday there is something in the Eagle refering to him.Give it a F###ing rest
