After meeting last week with U.S. Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers, Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., was asked if he was impressed, The New York Times reported. Brownback paused, then carefully replied: “She’s a very decent lady.”

Sam Brownback and the word “decent” in the same sentence somehow don’t compute.
Typical presidential hopeful.
Try being decisive and action-oriented without actually taking a stand on anything.
It certainly does seem that Senator Brownback is preparing a Chrisitian fundamentalist fatwa against Miers. He obviously has to do something to distinguish himself from the other GOP 2008 candidates. He isn’t that great of a public speaker and his legislative record is nothing to run on.
