His state party is defined by its conservative-moderate divide, but one of the contenders for next year’s GOP gubernatorial nomination plans to run as a label-less Republican. Robin Jennison, former Kansas House speaker from Healy, told The Hutchinson News: "I believe labeling yourself a conservative or moderate Republican does the party a lot of harm and it does the state a lot of harm. We have some issues that need to be addressed that aren’t conservative or liberal issues." No argument there, but those Kansas Republicans who try to run without labeling themselves invite others to do it for them.
Meanwhile, the list of maybe wannabes for the GOP nod has gained another name: Sen. James Barnett, who is an Emporia physician.

The problem is there has been so many that have hidden their real agenda. Could the majority on the state school board have gotten there. By telling everyone that they were the religionist right and planned on imposing their will on the rest of us?
certainly G.W.Bush would not have been elected if he said. “I plan on invading Iraq at the first moment I can”.
Hi, I’m an honest Democrat. I want to raise your taxes, have unlimited abortions, gay marriages and give more money to the educrats, not the classroom. Vote for me!
Puh-leeze
Goodluck to him. Honesty doesn’t work in politics. People will not believe it!
R.D.–I thought you were all for the “religionist right” when it came to stopping abortion.
Or have you already forgotten your story about fleeing Hitler and abortion being worse than that?
That’s the trouble with the web of deceit you weave, Puny. You get yourself all tangled up in it . . .
Funny you should mention those points, Jimmy.
Abortion–the number of abortions went down during Clinton and up during Bush. Why? Because Clinton’s team emphasized fact-based sex ed as opposed to religious emphasis on “abstinence.” Of course Bush, his daughters, or any other right-wing blow hards (Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Bill “Phone Sex” O’Reilly) actually practice what they preach, but hey, rules are for the “little people.”
Of course, abortions may be up because the economy for poor and middle class people has gotten so much worse under Bush that people feel that can’t afford to raise a child as easily as they could before.
As for giving money to educrats, I don’t know what that means. But if you’re saying that a lot of people don’t deserve what they make, I will heartily agree, and we should start with the CEO salaries of major corporations. One major hedge fund CEO for example makes 4 million dollars . . . a day.
Gay marriage–yes, give gays the same right to be a miserable married person that the rest of us have, by all means.
Raise taxes–hell yes, raise taxes. Democrats need to reign in corporate welfare and raise taxes on the people that benefit from our society, the rich. We’ve got to get back to the pay as you go system Clinton put in place, eliminate the deficits and pay down the national debt.
Bush is growing both with his unchecked spending and tax breaks for the rich.
I’ll agree with you on the spending. Shocker? Grin.
Of course, we both know, if Bush didn’t propose all this Gulf spending you’d be screaming he was a racist pig. I’ve already emailed my Congressional delegation to cut spending by going where the money is….eliminating or significantly delaying the stupid new Medicare drug “benefit,” if you wanna save money, you gotta go where the money is….that’s where you libs and I separate company :-)
Hey, R.D. Liebshiezen–
I need some help with my German language. You can help me out with that can’t you, Herr Liebshits?
How’s your 23 year old son? And how did a 58 year old man as ugly as you marry a woman young enough to have a child?
Lying sack of . . . .
Jimmy– the money spent on NO is nothing.
The growing of the fed gov’t by 33 percent in 4 years was major.
You get upset at the coins the Bushistas give to the poor, and you ignore the bales of 100’s that they forklift into Halliburton’s bank account.
But getting you to admit that Bush spends like a drunken sailor is a victory, however pyrrhic.
If Bush had let Medicare negotiate prices with big Pharma, drugs would be a lot cheaper.
But he doesn’t bite the hand that feeds him. When Bush gets bought, he STAYS bought.
That’s what Republicans call loyalty.
Galahad, you wouldn’t know reason if it, well, what’s the point? Just go back to reading your Daily Kos talking points. That is all. Dismissed.
If Bush had never even push for the Medicare drug plan, it would have been a lot cheaper.
“But if you’re saying that a lot of people don’t deserve what they make, I will heartily agree …”
Galahad, Who would you suggest is qualified to determine who deserves to earn how much?
LoL, Galahad you are cracking me up! I am pro-choice and think the Neo-con and the R.R. are not only ruining the Republic party but the the nation. But you have your fun I do not mind. Judging from both the info you sight about me and your general opinions. You could not find real knewledge in a dictionary!
As for how I could have a woman young enough to have children. It is my German genes. We all have large “Vorhemd” and can have “das Geschlecht” all night.
Help you with you Greman, that is easy! Get a English/German dictionary like I did…Oh I am sorry, I forgot about you difficulty with finding real knewledge even if it is in front of you!

Sorry Galahad my family came to the united states before Hitler. But if it makes you feel better, I am part Cherokee. Oh great now he’ll call me a dumb-ass Indian!LoL
I do remember reading someonefleeing Hitler and the abortion thing. But it was not me, Oh God I will regret this…I am a Republican. Could it get any worse?Thank God I am not left handed…Wait I am!
Yeah, it was you. You’re one of those posters that have about six or ten alter-egos and you can’t keep them straight.
You said your family lived under Hitler and how abortion was worse than the Holocaust.
I really hate disruptors like you. It demeans what real Holocaust survivors went through when you USE their tragedy for your own petty political points.
You disgust me.
BTW, I think you’re Puny, and I think Puny is B. Augustus. He’s enough of a jerk off to do what you’re doing.
Anon–
The board of directors of major corporations set the CEO pay.
It’s a nice cosy relationship.
Gala I have two that much it true. If you see this one or writerdog. That is me, they other you suspect me of being. Maybe just the voices in your head.
But again, by picking on me you are leave the other alone.
Now if it had been me and I were to be 58(not sure where you got that. I am younger and much prettier). And since WWII ended sixty years ago. That would have been a lie, simple math!
I guess I have been to logical in my posts. A-political in my opinion. Since I see rabit left and right as a real problem in this country and simple minded in their excusing everything as being left or right.
I have angered you because you cannot see past a limited view of your extreme liberal mindset. But hey everyone has a right to their opinions.
My mouth tends to over load my butt with just two nicks. I do not need to have more. As for hiding my I.D. at least when you click on my name it come back to a real I.D. Not a website like yours. It seem you are more asshamed of your opinion then I am of mine.
I do not hide behind the net to piss people off. My opinion is too valuable to me. Nor do I post things just to play out some pinned up anger.
I generally have my fun playing video games. But if that is your bag that is your concern.
But me personally this has been fun too. You come across as a fool and I have a chance to show how foolish you are.
Soon this blog item will be push out and a new one will catch my eye. You will find someone else to attack and more fun then I.
The death of over six million people is not a joking matter. Nor should it be used to stress a pointed about Abortion. The real person that did post that item was wrong. As I said I remember reading that either in this blog or the discussion board. It was wong then and it is wrong now. Just as wrong to use it to attack others just to get over your shortcomings. Ever heard of a penis pump?
Okay, you’re going to make me dig through all these old posts to prove what I already know to be true.
Don’t bother to send me a teary-eyed goodbye when you find that other, more interesting website.
This one is for people who actually live in the state of Kansas.
You didn’t post this?

The pro-abortion diatribe is very reminiscent of the vitriolic speech and writings I remember when I was a child. A child living in Germany in 1933 to be exact.
Not to value human life in any form is not to value life. The rationalization and hate posted by pro-abortion individuals and groups such as NRAL and Planned Parenthood are replays of the same ideas I heard against Jews, Slavs, Gypsies etc.
I never thought after becoming an American that I would hear such hate again. I was wrong.

Did you?
Neat trick huh? I can cut and paste to, but some things I am curious about?
What is the point of this? Why did you pick me for this game?It is fun and all and the fake rightious indignation is a nice touch.
one more thing ole buddy, the next time you want to fake a post from some one you might pay a little more attention to their SN.When you copy and paste and you erease the real name of the poster. Then type the name of the person you want to accuse.
R.D.Liebst
Okay, I was wrong. Sorry.
I thought you were somebody else.
There’s a troll posting here from out of state that uses about ten aliases, and I thought you were one of his.
My apologies,
G.
Thank you and I have been following your link to buzzflash. We may not agree on everything but on Bush we agree. I can not comment on him without pointing out he lied to invade Iraq. It is sad that the information was out there for anyone to see. And the majority were asleep at the wheel or watching Survivor.
Again I thank you for the apologieHopefully we can meet in the middle, that is where I tend to be.
