From Bennifer to Benator?

After his nauseating Bennifer romance, it’s been hard to take Ben Affleck seriously as a human being, let alone an actor. But some Virginia Democrats want him to make the leap from moviemaking to lawmaking. His name is supposedly being tossed around as a possible Democratic challenger to Sen. George Allen, The Washington Post reported.
Star power can be overpowering at the polls. Just look at Arnold Schwarzenegger. But is it enough to make voters forget — or at least forgive — “Gigli”?

As a former Californian who worked on the Recall Davis campaign, I can say with certainty there is no comparison between that piece of fluff known as Bennifer (or whatever) and Gov. Schwarzenagger. For one, the governor used business acumen and intelligence to parlay a successfull body building career into a vast business–long before he ever got to Hollywood. The man has drive, intelligence and ability–three things that supposed ’star’ is lacking.

It takes more than Hollywood “fame” to become successful in another field.

Sure everyone knows a pretty face is more of a qualifcation than being smart, level headed or wise.

They must think that people are really dumb and only care about superfical matters. We don’t…Do we!

Nobody cares what Ben does with his MoJo.Why don’t we let David Spade take care of the Hollywood gossip. At least he’s sharp enough to make it interesting.

Why, Ben Affleck? Doesn’t he have enough to do right now — he and what’s-her-name are about to be parents — and, hmmmm, doesn’t he have a bad movie or two do make?
