Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, recently told The Johnson County Sun that he still hopes to hold hearings related to the Valerie Plame case and the issue of cover of all CIA agents and analysts. Of the underlying trip by Plame’s husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, to Niger to investigate whether Saddam Hussein was trying to uranium there, Roberts said this: “I was amazed, ‘A,’ that (Wilson) was picked; ‘B,’ at the lack of a good job that he did; ‘C,’ the fact that there was no written report; and, ‘D,’ that he ignored what the British still say was well-founded, and that was that Niger and Iraq were planning some kind of deal with regard to ‘yellow cake.’” Sounds like Roberts doesn’t need hearings to help him form an opinion of Wilson.

I realize the liberal democrat editors of the WE seem to have a reality filter when it comes to the news from Iraq, but for the rest of you fellow BLOGers that apprecate the truth, here’s a TTBOI you might find interesting.
Saddam had 500 tons of yellow cake. He bought it originally from Niger. He was developing ways to enrich it for bombs. The fact that he was attempting to buy more shouldn’t be too much of a reach.

You should see what they’re reading.Even though throughly discredited, they still believe in WMD (hidden in Syria and buried in the vast desert), Queda connections to Saddam, and that Saddam was involved in 9/11.Even though all the yellow cake is under IAEA control or was spirited out of the country after Gulf War I, The loonies clutch that like a binky. Hank, you’re Nathan’s father. I read these blogs long before I started posting. An exchange between the Hammer and Damoon stuck in my mind. Hammer aparently looked up “Nathaniel Price” on the sex offender’s list. There is a Nathaniel Price listed, and Hammer posted that. Damoon imeadiately jumped to Nathan’s defense. That indicated to me that Nathan’s last name probably was Price, or Damoon wouldn’t have reacted that way. Obviously the charge hit close to home.
You furnished the last part of the puzzle yourself a while back when you said your son in college was in the Marine reserves.

However, its never been a secret. Many people on this BLOG know both Nathan and me.
When I’m out of town Nathan usually stays at our house and takes care of the horses and the dogs we leave behind. This last weekend he posted on the BLOG using my computer and I didn’t notice that he changed the name and email address before I posted.
Our relationship has never been a secret. Nathan is a Marine. He is my son. He did four years active and is now using his GI bill to go to school. After 911 he volunteered for the reserves for 4 years. Recently he signed up for 4 another 4 years I think.
I’m still not sure what the fuss is about. I think since you liberal nitwits can’t concentrate on a subject long enough to come up with a cogent thought you just resort to character assasination.

Never mind Saddam–he’s in jail. But we may be soon fighting the insurgents on our own–oh, I forgot, with the new Iraqi troops, too. The recent decision by the Bulgarian cabinet to pull its troops from Bulgaria is perhaps due in part to the reintroduction of U.S. oil interests (California-based Occidental Petroleum Corp) to Libya. You see, five Bulgarian nurses have been held in Libya since 1999 on false charges of having infected over 400 children with HIV. Libya is now demanding $100,000,000 for their release. This is Col. Quadaffi’s ace in the hole for having had to pay for the Lockerbie, Scotland crash caused by Libyan agents who intended to take out some of our CIA officers onboard. So Libya chose to hold a weak country’s citizens (Bulgaria) hostage to get the Lockerbie money back–plus lots more. At the same time the European Union maintains its resolve not to do business with Libya until the five Bulgarian nurses are freed. But I suspect this may also be the beginning of the end for our small coalition in Iraq. So while George Bush took down Saddam Hussein, our government is beginning to do business again with an equally savage character, Col. Quadaffi.
