I thought that terroists would fail when we withdrawl our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and stop any/all support for Israel.
Is that not what the liberals solution to fighting terrorism is?

When The United States was attacked by Japan on December 7, 1941, we did not refer to it as a “terrorist” attack, but rather an unprovoked attack. When Hitler was raining bombs on London, Londoners did not refer to it as a “terrorist” attack, but rather as an act of war.
In order to mooch money and sympathy from the United States, the Israelis dare not refer to attacks against them as acts of war or unprovoked, as each description would require an explanation. The explanation could only be an act of retaliation. That would require another explanation of what had been done to the Palestinians in order for them to retaliate. Explaining massacres, slaughters and the bulldozing of Palestinian homes would not garner money or sympathy, but the unique twist of redefining the term “terrorism” did not require an explanation.
After the US attacked Iraq, the term “terrorist” was floated by the MSM to define the resistance, but many independent journalists said that that word had the wrong definition. So, after much thought the MSM finally decided on “insurgency” to define Iraqis defending their country.
Selling America that 9/11 was a “terrorist attack” was easy as most American newspapers are either owned or controlled by the Zionist sect of Israel, most of whom live in the United States.
The Russians, and European Union weren’t buying it though. Generally both Europe and Russia have a free press, without Zionist influence or dictated propaganda, and they knew the true state of affairs going on inside Israel.
Gallop polls, recognized as the most reliable, confirm the the EU thinks Israel is the greatest threat to world peace, and the United States under Bush is second. It’s easy to see how Bush’s lack of credibility is showing in his handling of Karl Rove. Bush talks out of both sides of his mouth at the same time, first declaring zero tolerance for “leaks” then not firing Rove.
So the so-called “war on terrorism” is nothing more than a puff of Israeli smoke, trying to cloud the truth, while the underlying causes go unchecked. Meanwhile innocent people keep dying.
Time will only tell how long and how many American, British and Arab lives the Israelis will cost America, British and the Arab Nations. Let’s all say a prayer that that will not be too long. Not cost too many young soldiers their lives, their families the torment of loved-ones lost. And drain our treasury into bankruptcy, destroying the American way of life.
Mincing egos is not a proper way to make decisions when lives are at stake. That is pure Red-neck low IQ pick-up truck talk. Soldiers need not die by a fool’s judgment. That’s what we have in the White House now. And that’s why they dying.

The Media Bomb
While reading Lubna Hussain’s article, “The Opiate of the Masses” (July 8), I remembered what Albert Einstein once said: “There are three bombs which threaten the world: The nuclear one, the demographic one and the media one.” When I first read it, maybe 20 years ago, I easily understood the danger linked to the nuclear and demographic bombs. But I could not figure out what Einstein meant by the media bomb?
It became clear to me much later, just before the Iraq war, when the Bush administration successfully convinced the US public of the major threat represented by the weapons of mass destruction, using print and television media as a fantastic brainwashing machine. It is actually fascinating to observe that the three countries which were clamoring for war — the US, UK and Australia — were all dominated by the same Murdoch media empire.
Nothing could withstand the pressure from this media empire: Neither the testimony of the UN experts in Iraq nor the efforts of some recognized world leaders such as the French and Russian presidents and the German chancellor. The US public is now recognizing that it has probably been misled into the war that should not have been fought in the first place.
Fighting against the proliferation of the media bomb is probably as important as the fight against the nuclear bomb. It is of course a key responsibility for the journalists who, as Lubna says so well, have “to remain true to their profession and approach assignments with integrity and an open mind.”
