		<description>I agree that the City has done the right thing, and should support the ice rink long-term.  This also is true of the Art Museum,Exploration Place, the Mid-America All Indian Center, and other &quot;public&quot; buildings.  These places enhance our quality of life in Wichita, and should not be expected to be profitable - not to say there shouldn&#039;t be every effort exerted through highly qualified managers to stay out of the red.  But whether self-sustaining or not it is not fair to evaluate these programs on the basis of whether they are profitable in the same sense that Boeing or Cessna is profitable.
