Fifty-nine percent of Americans said they haven’t heard enough about U.S. Supreme Court nominee John Roberts to form an opinion about him, according to an AP-Ipsos poll released Thursday. And more than half of Americans want to know what he thinks about abortion before the Senate votes on him. The percentage who want an answer on this issue is higher — 60 percent — for Democrats and women. But you would have to guess that the percentage of senators who want answers about abortion is even higher. And luckily for the American people, they’re in a position to get them.

I would keep my fingers crossed Rhonda.
I highly doubt he will give much of an answer if at all to any questions about abortion.
Abortion is not the litmus test for a Supreme Court nominee. Respect for the Court and the rule of law is all we can expect from a nominee.
I hope Sen. Brownback asks intelligent questions instead of grandstanding and posturing for the next election. The same goes for the “liberals” on the committee. Let’s find out if the man respects the law. I would hope that our society is not to be judged by its stance on abortion.
It continually amazes me how men feel they can “tell” women what to do in this country and how the women still put up with it. Hey girls, what about a constitutional amendment requiring the wearing of bukas in public?
