Terri Schiavo’s autopsy results having disappointed the conspiracy theorists, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has a prosecutor probing the timeliness of the 911 call that Michael Schiavo made upon his wife’s collapse in 1990. Note: That was 15 years ago.
We admire hands-on governors and all, especially because they are a rarity in Kansas, but this is ridiculous. Further proof that there is no overestimating the depths to which political pandering can go.

Amen, Rhonda
I agree about your comment about our guv, but disagree about the political pandering. Michael Schiavo is a skank. He’s gone out of his way to treat Terri’s family badly at every opportunity. Too bad he wasn’t aborted.
Considering the hell that Terri’s family put Michael through, by prolonging this ordeal and drawing out the legal battle as well as calling in Randall Terry and similar nuts, I can understand why he would want to stick it to them. So I think it’s a two way street as far as treating people badly. Remember, they are the ones who alleged that he abused her, that he wanted to kill her, that he tried to use medication to hasten her demise….all while he was trying to care for his wife in the way that she would’ve wanted.
As far as Rhonda’s comments….I agree, Jeb’s manuevering is nothing more than an outreach to the ultra-conservative Christians. I think the Governor needs to remember that the vast majority of Americans supported the removal of her lifesupport.
The decision to remove life support should ALWAYS be left up to the medical experts and the next of kin(in this case, Michael Schiavo). For the courts to have ruled against him would have opened a huge can of worms and laid the foundation for much more litigation in our country. I feel much sadness for Terri’s parents, but the government should stay out of these very personal decisions between a man and wife.
Sorry, I meant to say “husband and wife”. I’m showing my age!
