Hillary rants

Democratic Party chairman Howard Dean is taking heat for his recent rants about Republicans. But what about Sen. Hillary Clinton? At a fundraiser last week, she said of the Bush administration and Republicans: “It is very hard to stop people who have never been acquainted with the truth.” So much for trying to appear moderate and bipartisan. We have never fared well against fanatics – i.e., North Vietnam, the Taliban, and probably the most dangerous of all, the “my way or the highway” conservative “christan” right of this country. Intolerance only breeds contempt.

Far right and left are both intolerant. Don’t forget the hard left protesters, Dan.

Oh they are acquainted with the truth, alright. They just aren’t interested in passing it along to the rest of us. I do not believe we have ever heard any actual truth from this administration. Isn’t that sad? What’s sadder is that they appear to be getting by with it.

    Phillip,

Nice use of the usual corporate media ‘weapon of mass distraction’ technique: blame the messenger. “Hillary is extreme!” “She’s a lesbian!” “She arranged to have Vince Foster killed!” Yawn. So, I have a question for you: just why DID we invade Iraq, anyway? Personally, I think it’s worse when someone lies than when someone calls someone else a liar.

As for the criticism that Hillary has abandoned bipartisanship, huh? Here’s an acronym: IOKIYAR. Meaning? “It’s OK if you’re a Republican.” So, it’s OK to justify the killing of judges if you’re John Cornyn, and nobody in the media bats an eye.

Carefull Phillip – you might actually stir up a real debate ! Or do you still believe there were WMD’s in Iraq or that ANY Iraqs’ were on the planes on 9/11 ? There are a lot of people who just don’t want to hear that in Cowley County !

    D. Collins – The greatest thing about the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington is that my name is not on it. And for that I will always thank the “hard left” protestors of the 1960’s-1970’s ! One year in Vietnam was enough for me. And since I’m on a rant – it has always struck me funny how those who have never been shot at are the first to sound so patriotic !
