Thanks in no small part to Tuesday’s record-setting rainfall, 2014 has elbowed its way into a Top 10 list for Wichita.
The National Weather Service on Wednesday reported that the 8.56 inches that have fallen so far this month ranks 10th for wettest Junes in Wichita history. The wettest June on record is 14.43 inches in 1923.
This year nudged past 2007′s 8.53 inches for a spot in the Top 10.
More rain is possible before June bids adieu early next week, forecasters say.
