There’s a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms in the Wichita area early on Wednesday, forecasters say, and a much better chance later in the day.
In between, it’ll be a hot and muggy day, with highs in the mid-90s and mostly sunny skies. Winds will be out of the south and southeast early before shifting to the north in the afternoon, forecasters say. Steady breezes in the teens will gust above 25 miles an hour at times.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue overnight, forecasters say, with lows settling in the upper 60s. Thursday is shaping up to be a damp day in the Wichita, with more rain expected.
