It’s been a blustery week in the Wichita area, which will make Friday seem all the more pleasant.
Highs will be in the 70s on a mostly sunny day, forecasters say, and winds will barely touch double digits out of the east and northeast. Overnight lows will settle in the low 50s as more clouds begin to move in.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy, forecasters say, with highs of about 80. Winds will shift to the south and strengthen into the upper teens, topping 20 miles an hour by afternoon. Gusts could again reach the low 30s.
Chances for showers arrive Saturday night, forecasters say, when lows only fall to the low 60s. South winds won’t ease much overnight, still gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour at times.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely Sunday, with highs in the upper 60s, forecasters say.
Chances for rain – and perhaps even some snow – persist into Monday.
