Sunshine returns to the Sunflower State on Tuesday – and so does the wind.
Highs in the Wichita area should crawl into the 60s, forecasters say, with northerly winds blowing steadily in the upper teens and gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour.
Overnight lows will bottom out in the low 40s as a few clouds move in. Winds will ease through the overnight hours from gusts near 20 miles an hour to the single digits, forecasters say.
Wednesday will be much warmer in Wichita, with highs soaring near 80. Winds will shift to the south, blowing steadily in the teens and topping 30 miles an hour in gusts, forecasters say.
Sunny skies and warm days are expected in the region into the weekend, forecasters say.
