Measurable snowfall fell as close to Wichita as Colwich on Friday, but residents hoping for a blanket of white will have to wait.
Pratt recorded 2 inches of snow from the storm system that moved through the Sunflower State and Colwich received 1 inch, according to the National Weather Service. Wichita recorded a trace, but that’s not enough to qualify as measurable snow.
Heavier snow fell in western Kansas. Ulysses received 5 inches and Sublette more than 6 inches.
