The coldest weather of the season will give Wichita a hearty case of the chills today, forecasters say.
Highs will not climb out of the 30s and north winds will be gusty, approaching 25 miles an hour at times. Those winds will ease to the single digits by afternoon, however.
Overnight lows tonight will drop to the low 20s again under partly cloudy skies, and Wednesday should be warmer. Highs could approach 50 with sunny skies, forecasters say. Winds, which are likely to shift to the south during Wednesday’s early hours, are expected to top 30 miles an hour in gusts.
