It’ll be a sunny Monday in the Wichita metropolitan area before rain returns to the region in the evening, forecasters say.
Highs should reach the mid-60s today, with southeast winds steady in the teens and gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour. Overnight lows will dip to the low 50s as chances for rain continue. The southeasterly winds will ease into the single digits.
Rain will continue on Tuesday, forecasters say, with highs only climbing a few degrees from the overnight low. Winds will again be in the teens out of the southeast, with gusts approaching 30 miles an hour.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to persist through the evening and into Wednesday morning, with lows flirting with the 30s and highs on Wednesday straining to touch 50.
