Today will feel like a jolt compared to Thursday in the Wichita area, forecasters say, with highs more than 20 degrees lower from one day to the next.
Highs are only expected to reach the mid-40s after being in the upper 60s on Thursday. Rain is likely late in the morning and off and on into the evening, forecasters say, with light north winds adding some extra bite to the conditions.
Patchy frost is possible overnight, when lows slip to the mid-30s. Skies will gradually clear, forecasters say, with winds shifting to the west and highs on Saturday rebounding into the mid-60s.
Sunday will be warmer still, with temperatures approaching 70 under sunny skies.
