Wichita’s monsoon season lasted for about a month. Then the skies shut off for nearly a month.
But rain finally reappears in the forecast for the metropolitan area tonight, forecasters say. It’s only a slight chance, though there’ll be better chances on Thursday.
Highs today before the clouds roll in will reach the low 90s, with light south winds stirring the air. Lows will slip to the low 70s overnight, with chances for rain increasing on Thursday. Highs will top out in the mid- to upper 80s.
Chances for rain will persist into Friday, forecasters say, then return Sunday and stretch into early next week.
