Heavy rain is possible in the Wichita area through the morning hours, forecasters say.
Showers and thunderstorms can be expected in the metropolitan area, primarily through noon. Highs are expected to reach the mid-80s, forecasters say, with skies gradually clearing as the day stretches out. Winds will be light out of the east.
Lows will dip into the mid-60s overnight under partly cloudy skies. East winds will remain light.
Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with highs again in the mid-80s. Winds will persist out of the east and occasionally touch double digits.
Chances for showers in the Wichita area return on Wednesday, forecasters say.
