Highs should climb into the low 50s around the Wichita area today, forecasters say, but it’ll still be pretty windy.
Morning clouds should gradually dissipate as northwest winds intensify throughout the day. Breezes in the single digits will climb into the upper teens by afternoon, with gusts approaching 30 miles an hour.
Overnight lows are expected to fall into the mid-20s under partly cloudy skies, forecasters say, with winds easing to the single digits and then becoming virtually calm.
Wednesday should see the warming trend gather momentum, with highs nearing 60 under sunny skies. Thursday and Friday are shaping up to be warmer still, forecasters say.
