After coming within a single degree of matching the warmest January temperature in its history, Wichita will get to enjoy one more unusually warm winter day before temperatures take a plunge toward seasonal norms.
Highs today could touch 60 under increasingly cloudy skies, forecasters say. It’ll be another breezy day, with southwest winds in the teens and gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour.
A chance of rain arrives late tonight, forecasters say, with sliding temperatures meaning the rain could change to snow early in the morning. Lows are projected to fall into the upper 20s. Winds will shift to the north-northwest and gust to nearly 30 miles an hour.
Highs will top out in the low 40s on Wednesday as skies clear. It’ll still be windy, forecasters say, with northwest winds gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour.
