Gusty south winds will help push temperatures into the mid-80s today around the Wichita area, forecasters say.
Skies should be mostly sunny, with gusts approaching 30 miles an hour. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s, with winds shifting to the west and gusting to nearly 25 miles an hour.
Thursday will see a dramatic drop in temperatures, forecasters say, with highs only in the mid-60s – 20 degrees lower than Wednesday. Overnight lows will feel crisp, with temperatures in the mid-40s.
Patchy frost is possible by the weekend, forecasters say.
