Showers and thunderstorms are possible again this afternoon in the Wichita area, forecasters say.
Highs should reach the mid-90s under mostly sunny skies. Winds will be out of the east-northeast, nudging double digits at times.
Thunderstorms are likely tonight and again Friday, when highs will only touch the low 80s. It’ll be breezy, with south winds shifting to the north and intensifying from the low teens to the low 20s in the morning. Gusts could exceed 30 miles an hour, forecasters say.
The weekend is shaping up to be cool and sunny, with highs only in the mid-70s on Saturday and low 80s on Sunday.
