After Wednesday’s sizzling 96, today will feel downright cool in the Wichita area.
Highs behind the front that slid through the region overnight will only be in the mid-80s, forecasters say, with partly sunny skies and north winds in the upper teens. Gusts will flirt with 30 miles an hour.
Skies will stay mostly cloudy overnight, when lows slip to the low 60s. North winds will remain gusty, from the teens into the mid-20s.
Friday should be beautiful, forecasters say, with sunny skies and highs in the low to mid-80s. Winds will shift to the east-northeast but stay light, nudging into the teens.
The weekend is expected to bring more highs in the mid-80s with a chance of showers on Saturday.
