A few showers may linger in the Wichita area this morning before skies begin to clear later in the day.
It’ll be hot and muggy, forecasters say, with highs in the upper 90s and winds stirring only slightly out of the northeast.
Overnight lows will be in the mid-70s under partly cloudy skies, and then Thursday should see more sunshine and highs in the mid-90s. Winds will be out of the north, strengthening from single digits to the teens, with gusts touching 20 miles an hour.
Another cold front is expected to drop highs into the 80s by the end of the week, forecasters say.
