Highs should reach the upper 80s under sunny skies, forecasters say. Winds will be rather light, out of the east-southeast and staying in the single digits.
Overnight lows under mostly clear skies will drop to the upper 60s. Winds will shift slightly to the south-southeast and stay light.
The weekend will be much hotter, forecasters say, with highs in the upper 90s with abundant sunshine. Wichita may see its first 100-degree day of the summer on Sunday.
