There’s a slight chance of showers for the Wichita metropolitan area today, forecasters say.
That translates into a warm, muggy, partly cloudy day for much of the region. Highs are expected to reach the upper 80s, with south-southeast winds in the teens and gusting into the low 20s.
Chances for rain linger overnight, when lows are anticipated to drop only to about 70. South winds will blow steadily in the teens and gust into the low 20s.
Thursday offers more small chances for rain, forecasters say, with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s. South winds will strengthen throughout the day, from the low teens to the upper teens. Gusts are expected to top 30 miles an hour.
