Wichita will continue to see abundant sunshine this week, forecasters say, with today’s highs again reaching the mid-80s.
Winds will pick up a bit, blowing steadily in the teens out of the southeast and gusting to about 20 miles an hour at times. Skies will be mostly clear overnight as lows slide into the upper 60s, forecasters say. Winds will persist out of the southeast in the teens, slacking at times into the single digits.
Friday figures to offer more sunshine and highs in the mid-80s, forecasters say, though south winds will occasionally gust to nearly 25 miles an hour.
The weekend should be hotter, with highs approaching and perhaps reaching 90.
