A roller coaster of a work week ends on a pleasant note in the Wichita area.
Sunny skies, light winds and highs in the upper 50s are expected today, forecasters say. After gusts routinely topping 40 miles an hour this week, today’s winds out of the north-northeast will stay in the single digits.
Skies should stay mostly clear overnight as lows dip to the mid-30s. Winds will shift to the south but stay light.
Chances for showers return to the forecast Saturday, forecasters say, with highs in the mid-50s. South winds will occasionally climb into the mid-teens.
More showers are possible on Sunday.
