Wichita weather: Warmer day as clouds linger, then another blast of cold air arrives

Clouds should persist much of the day today in the Wichita area, forecasters say, but it will be warmer than Wednesday.

Highs should climb into the upper 40s. Winds will be light, staying in the single digits and shifting from the southeast to the west-northwest later in the day. Lows will be in the mid-20s.

Friday will see another shot of cold air move into the region, forecasters say, with highs only hitting the upper 30s. Saturday will be even colder, with highs only in the upper 20, and snow flurries are possible on Sunday.
