A dangerous winter storm is poised to pound Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas beginning on Monday. More than a foot of snow is expected in parts of the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles, and blizzard warning has been issued for 14 counties in southwest and central Kansas.
The blizzard warning extends from 9 a.m. Monday to noon on Tuesday, and a widespread swath of 6 to 9 inches of snow is expected in the warning area. Isolated pockets could see a foot of snow. Cities included in the blizzard warning include Dodge City, Garden City, Liberal, Greensburg and Larned.
