The work week will end with a sunny, crisp day in the Wichita area.
Forecasters say highs should touch 40, with light north winds staying in the single digits. Those winds are expected to die off late in the day, and overnight lows will slide into the teens under mostly clear skies.
Breezes should return Saturday, forecasters say, when gusty southerly winds will help push temperatures into the mid- to upper 40s. Sunny skies should persist. Sunday should see a few clouds move in as temperatures creep toward 50.
