Wichita should get a break from storms over Memorial Day weekend, forecasters say.
The calmer period begins today, with sunny skies and highs in the low 70s. North-northwest winds will be steady in the teens, with gusts in the mid-20s. A few clouds are expected to move through overnight, when lows slide to the upper 50s.
Friday should be partly sunny, with highs in the low 80s. Winds will nudge into the double digits out of the south. The holiday weekend will resemble Friday, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 80s.
