Walking around downtown Wichita this morning, gritting my teeth against a bitter north wind, wearing a light jacket because the forecast called for highs near 70, I thought, “No way we’re getting into the upper 60s today.”
No kidding.
The cold front dropped farther south than forecasters were projecting, bringing cold air and colder winds with it. Today’s high is now going to barely nudge above 50.
“I’ve adjusted it twice,” National Weather Service meteorologist Robb Lawson said late this morning.
Now to adjust my mood. I rather prefer the upper 60s.
