The wind will be much more apparent today in the Wichita metropolitan area, forecasters say, as a stretch of pleasant autumn weather continues.
Highs will reach the mid-70s under mostly sunny skies today, with southerly winds blowing steadily in the teens and gusting to more than 20 miles an hour. Overnight lows will slip to near 50 degrees, and Wednesday will be warmer still – with highs topping 80 under sunny skies. Winds will shift to the north, but only be in the single digits.
