Once again, dense fog is shrouding Wichita and more than a dozen counties in southern and southeast Kansas. A dense fog advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. Visibility will frequently be less than a quarter-mile.
Southeast winds will intensify later today, gusting to more than 30 miles an hour. That will help temperatures climb into the mid-50s, forecasters say.
Those winds will help feed showers and thunderstorms tonight and overnight, forecasters say. More rain is possible again before noon on Saturday, before skies begin to gradually clear.
Highs Saturday should reach the mid-50s, forecasters say. Winds will shift to the north Saturday night and bring colder temperatures for Sunday.
