The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of Kansas and Nebraska under a slight risk for severe weather on Monday. The National Weather Service is projecting the potential for 1-inch hail, winds of 60 to 70 miles an hour and possibly some tornadoes.
Those storms will fire up in late afternoon and early evening, NWS meteorologist Leon Wasinger said. Where that will be depends on where the dry line sets up, he said.
