Face it, Wichita: it’s going to be a gray, soggy day in the metropolitan area today.
But it figures to be a stormy day in parts of Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Storm Prediction Center has posted a moderate risk for severe weather in those three states, and there’s a large oval denoting a slight risk in Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky, Illinois and Louisiana.
Storm chasers and weather researchers have been pointing to this day for nearly a week, so it’ll be compelling to see what transpires today.
