And the answer is…

Joe Blaznek was the last Thunder player to score 100 points. He had 44 goals and 56 assists in 2005-06. Mike Marler was the first to respond correctly. He gets the four free tix to tomorrow night’s game. Check back every now and then for more contests. Thanks to those who e-mailed. Everyone got the answer right. Next time, expect a tougher question!

Yanchishyn back

Stan Yanchishyn will return to the lineup tonight. He hasn’t played since Nov. 29 because of an undisclosed injury. Pascal Bedard has been placed on 14-day injured reserve because of an … yep, undisclosed injury.

Pssssttt! Want some free tickets?

Time for a new addition to the blog. Here’s how it works. Every so often, I will ask a trivia question related to the Wichita Thunder. You be the first to answer it – correctly, of course – and win free tickets to an upcoming game. Then you send me expensive gifts for hooking you up. It’s that simple. (The Legal Department is making me add that the part about gifts is a joke.) Time is short on this first contest. The four tickets are for Saturday night’s game against high-powered Colorado. You would need to pick up the tickets at the Eagle by 5 p.m. today (Friday). A few more things before we get to the extremely easy question:

· This blog gets billions of hits every day, so I am confident there won’t be any “Bueller? … Bueller?” situations when I post a question.

· Full disclosure here. I feel a little like a carnie hawking corn dogs or trying to entice kids to play impossible-to-win games. GET YOUR THUNDER TICKETS!!! GET YOUR THUNDER TICKETS!!! Seriously, do you think Bob Woodward has to run any trivia contests? For this I got a journalism degree. By the way, if this trivia question thing goes over well I’m going to start a guess-the-reader’s-weight game!

· Below, there are rules and regulations. I didn’t read them all, but I think if you’re related to me, you can’t win.

Question No. 1. (It’s easy!)

The Thunder won’t have a 100-point scorer this year. Who was the last Thunder player to reach the 100-point mark?

No purchase necessary.
