Butler freshman forward Mikenna Greathouse set a school record with five goals in a win over Dodge City earlier this week, a very commendable accomplishment and much deserving of props from Sunflower Slate.
Here’s the release from Butler’s Matt Jacobs:

Freshman forward ties school scoring record
DODGE CITY, Kan. – Mikenna Greathouse tied a Butler women’s soccer record by scoring five goals in a game as the Grizzlies shut out Dodge City by a 13-0 count on Wednesday.
Greathouse had two goals in the first half and three in the second as Butler blew past the Conquistadors. She also assisted on three other Grizzly goals.
Other Grizzlies who have scored five goals in a game are Katy Rodriguez, who did it last year against Hesston and Ashley Tatum in 2005, also against Dodge City.
Greathouse was one of eight Grizzlies to score against Dodge City on Wednesday. Freshman CJ Dean was the only other Grizzly with multiple goals, scoring two. Sophomore defender Amanda Ward and freshman forward Sade Humphrey each added one goal and three assists apiece. Freshman CJ Langrehr scored her first collegiate goal and also added an assist.
Butler added a 3-0 win over Cisco (Texas) Junior College on Friday.
The Grizzlies are now 10-1 overall and 5-0 in Jayhawk Conference play.
They have won nine matches in a row, including six of those by shutout.
