5 Pittsburgh points to ponder

  1.  Pitt guard Tray Woodall scored 19 points as a freshman in a 68-55 win over WSU in Kansas City in 2009. Demetric Williams is the only Shocker still on the roster from that game. He played 13 minutes and scored five points.
  2. The Panthers held second-seeded Georgetown to 13 baskets (13-37) in a 73-45 road win on Jan. 8.
  3. Pitt didn’t play a road non-conference game. It went 6-3 in Big East road games and 2-2 on neutral courts.
  4. Detroit led the Panthers 37-29 at halftime before losing 74-61. Pitt held Detroit to 32-percent (9-28) shooting in the second half.
  5. Pitt led Notre Dame 19-3 at home and lost 51-42 on Feb. 18. The Panthers made eight shots in the second half and the Irish out-rebounded them 40-25 for the game.
