5 Pittsburgh points to ponder
- Pitt guard Tray Woodall scored 19 points as a freshman in a 68-55 win over WSU in Kansas City in 2009. Demetric Williams is the only Shocker still on the roster from that game. He played 13 minutes and scored five points.
- The Panthers held second-seeded Georgetown to 13 baskets (13-37) in a 73-45 road win on Jan. 8.
- Pitt didn’t play a road non-conference game. It went 6-3 in Big East road games and 2-2 on neutral courts.
- Detroit led the Panthers 37-29 at halftime before losing 74-61. Pitt held Detroit to 32-percent (9-28) shooting in the second half.
- Pitt led Notre Dame 19-3 at home and lost 51-42 on Feb. 18. The Panthers made eight shots in the second half and the Irish out-rebounded them 40-25 for the game.
