The eight MVC teams started practice at TD Ameritrade Park at 8 a.m. For the four teams in WSU’s bracket (Bracket A), it is their first visit to the new home of the College World Series. The four teams in Bracket B (with top seed Creighton) all played here during the regular season. Read More »

I’m sitting this one out because of graduation ceremonies this weekend. I’ll join the Shockers on Sunday in Omaha for the MVC Tournament.
- Creighton opened the weekend with a 3-2 win over Missouri State. The Shockers (if they can sweep) need MSU to win at least one of the three.
- It appears former Shocker Conor Gillaspie may get called up to San Francisco soon. The Giants need an infielder. However, Gillaspie, according to the Fresno Bee, injured his ankle in a game Tuesday.
