Final – WSU 69, NDSU 57. Murry leads WSU with 15 points.
WSU 52, NDSU 32 (11:35) - Murry with 11 points.
WSU 46, NDSU 25 (15:27) – WSU has made 4 of 5 shots to start the half. Hatch made three straight.
WSU 35, NDSU 20 (Halftime) - Shockers are 3 of 5 from three-point range. NDSU is 9 of 27 from the field with eight turnovers. The Bison matched WSU 18-18 after falling behind 17-2. Which means little. WSU is 6 of 6 from the line, which puts us on Perfect Free Throw watch. You’ll remember WSU went 16 of 16 earlier this season before missing two late in the game. WSU’s best perfect effort is 12 of 12 against Kansas State in 1990.
WSU 28, NDSU 16 (2:34) – Durley, with seven points, is out with two fouls.
WSU 17, NDSU 2 (11:49) - NDSU is 1 of 10 with five turnovers. Manigault and Williams are playing together, getting a force-feeding of minutes.
WSU 9, NDSU 0 (16:36 remaining) - Shockers 4 of 6. NDSU with three turnovers in six possessions.
You can’t accuse the Shockers of playing down to their competition this season. Even against some of Division I’s wretched teams, WSU generally played hard and turned those games into blowouts. That will again be their task tonight coming off Saturday’s big win. North Dakota State isn’t wretched, but WSU’s depth should wear down the Bison at some point. I would also expect Clevin Hannah to get a break after playing 36 and 33 minutes in the past two games. This is coach Gregg Marshall’s last chance to play Demetric Williams and Kenny Manigault before MVC play.
J.T. Durley and the Shockers earned some pub on ESPN.com after beating Texas Tech. The Shockers received 18 votes in the AP poll. Hannah is the MVC’s player of the week.
